Textbook and Instructional Material
The Governing Board desires that District instructionalmaterials, as a whole, present a broad spectrum of knowledge andviewpoints, reflect the diversity of our society, and enhance the use ofmultiple teaching strategies and technologies. The Board shall adoptinstructional materials based on a determination that such materials arealigned with the state content standards, meet other criteria specifiedin law, and are an effective learning resource to help students achievegrade-level competency. (BP 6161.1 a)
