Welcome to the Curriculum Department of Central Union School District. The responsibility of this department is to oversee Curriculum & Instruction and Projects for the entire school district.
Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services
Elizabethe Williams-Lozano
Mrs. Lozano became part of the Central School District in 1988 as a
fourth grade teacher. Since then she has served as a site principal as
well as Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction. Elizabethe has a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and a Masters in Supervision and
Administration. As Director of Curriculum and Instruction, she analyzes
data, builds teams for developing constructive plans, and guides the
overall academic direction of the district.
She is a strong advocate for children and believes in
educating the whole child. In addition, to her focus on academic growth,
Mrs. Lozano is also deeply connected with the overall development of
the child. Mrs. Lozano, who possesses a theater arts background, has
been instrumental in guiding and directing these programs to offer the
opportunity for children to express their creative side.
Elizabethe has been honored in Who’s Who Among
Administrators and was awarded the 2006 Kings County and Region XI ACSA
Principal of the Year.
When not serving the Central Union Community, Elizabethe is found with her husband Sal and their three children.
Coordinator of Curriculum & Instruction
Scott Chennault
Mr.
Chennault has taught 5th grade at Akers for a total of 7 years. During
the 2005-2006 year, he transferred to Stratford were he taught 8th
grade. He
returned to Akers during the 2006-2007 year. He has also taught in the
Hanford,
and Laton School Districts. Mr. Chennault has a educational back ground
in Special Education and Psychology. He graduated from California State
University
of Fresno with a BS in Psychology, as well as Masters in Administration.
Mr. Chennault has been married, to his wife Nichole, for 11 years. They have
a 7 year old son, Connor, a 5 year old son Caleb, and a 2 year old baby girl,
Mia. Mr. C is a local product, attending elementary and junior high in Armona
and High school in Hanford.
Coordinator of Curriculum & Instruction
Cindee Rael
Mrs. Rael joined the Central School District team in 1993 as an
eighth grade science teacher. She brought with her teaching experience
in 6th grade, developmental kindergarten and on the college level. While
in CUSD, she has also served as a first grade teacher and site
assistant principal. Mrs. Rael has been on staff on 3 of the 4 campuses
in the district.
Cindee has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts, a
Masters Elementary Education, and her Educational Specialists Degree in
Curriculum and Instruction.
As Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction, she is involved in assessment, analyzing data, monitoring programs, and plans.
Mrs. Rael has worked extensively with at-risk students
throughout her career. She is committed to all students achieving their
full potential. She believes this is possible when academic standards
are set high, quality staff provide a supportive learning environment,
and parents and community provide strong support. Her desire is to
assist students, parents and staff in working together for student
success.
